About this Policy

This Policy describes the information gathered and how it is used by Picarro Inc. (“Picarro”) from visitors to the Picarro webstore (“Webstore”) and customer who purchase products through the Webstore.  Picarro operates the Picarro Webstore to allow customers to purchase certain Products from Picarro online and pay by credit card.

 

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, Picarro collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Picarro’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how Picarro’s visitors use the Webstore.

The Webstore is not intended for or directed to persons under the age of 13, and we will not knowingly collect information from such persons. Any person who provides information to us through registration or in any other manner on the Website represents to Picarro that they are 13 years of age or older. We collect personally identifiable and transactional information provided by customers that purchase

products from the Webstore.  This information includes contact information, shipping information, customer name.  We may also retain the content of the communications with our customer service or sales representatives.  While we request credit card information (credit card number, expiration date, security code), credit card transactions are processed using a third-party processing company and Picarro does not store or have access to this information.   Our third-party credit card processing company understands the security of your information is very important and uses commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technological safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of all information collected to process payment of for your order.

 

Picarro does not disclose personally-identifying information gathered from the Webstore other than as described in this Policy.  Picarro will never sell, rent or provide user information to other vendors or other companies that seek to market or sell products by using such user information.

 

Disclosure and Use of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

Picarro discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to those of its employees that (i) need to know that information in order to process orders for Products from the Webstore and (ii) to assist Customers in the shipment, delivery, installation and use of Products purchased from the Webstore.  Picarro discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information when required to do so by law, or when Picarro believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Picarro, third parties or the public at large.  

 

If you are a registered user of the Webstore and have supplied your email address, Picarro may occasionally send you emails to tell you about new products, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Picarro and our products.   Picarro takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of personally-identifying information.

 

Recipients of our e-mail marketing messages can unsubscribe from receiving promotional e-mail by using the unsubscribe instructions located at the bottom of the message, or by sending a request with “unsubscribe” in the subject line to support@picarro.com. Please note that you may not unsubscribe or opt-out of non-promotional messages regarding your orders, including order confirmations, communications respecting payment, shipping and order fulfillment, or technical and security notices.

 

Aggregated Statistics

Picarro may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Picarro may monitor the most popular content on the Webstore or report the most popular discussion groups in the Picarro Community.  However, Picarro does not disclose personally-identifying information in doing so.
